As you know, I thought Tribes needed a lot more work pre-publication, but one could also say that if Seth Godin wanted to provoke a response he succeeded wildly.<BR/><BR/>I think your review says this quite well: "On the other hand, if you are looking for contemporary insight at the intersection of leadership, marketing, and social networking, Godin provides plenty of thought provoking insights and ideas."<BR/><BR/>The whole story of publication which surrounds this book is itself a case study on leadership for me too: This is clearly a case of what leverage a best-selling author and marketing guru has (with a much earlier tipping point for his ideas), as opposed to an unknown who might have a brilliant book languishing unread in poorly distributed channels.
